Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Adversity Score

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Adversity Score

The College Board will be computing an Adversity Score for each individual who takes the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and report this Adversity Score along with the SAT Score.

The Adversity Score will be a composite index, which will be computed based on several socio-economic data points.

The Adversity Score will not be shared with the student, only with the College/University.

This is a good-faith effort. But it could lead to more litigation. One way Colleges and Universities may avoid the disputes is not to consider SAT score at all in its admission decisions.
